I was heavily involved in Mega Dodgeball, on both the technical systems and the creative side, to make it a polished, engaging game.

Project status

Despite strong progress and a solid foundation, Mega Dodgeball was cancelled: several things together made it impossible to keep developing it.

  • Funding

Not enough money to continue, no additional funding or investment, and costs beyond the available budget.
  • The team

Motivation and commitment faded, key members moved on to other projects, and interest in finishing it ran out.
Key features
  • Gameplay

Team-based dodgeball across several maps, with customizable balls and dynamic ball physics.
  • Progression

Unlockable content, leaderboards and player profiles.
  • Technical

Real-time multiplayer, optimized performance, cross-platform play and data persistence.
What I learned

Mega Dodgeball touched almost every side of game development, from scripting to creative design, and taught me to balance what a game does with how it feels to play.

  • Technical

Physics-based mechanics, multiplayer sync, performance optimization and data persistence.
  • Creative

Keeping audio and visuals in sync, refining the interface, player feedback, and game balance and progression.
